Children's
Wildlife Projects -- Overview
What makes a kid happier
than flying critters and creepy-crawly things? Every child seems
to have a natural curiosity toward nature's wildlife - be it a worm
in the ground or an eagle in the sky. So how can you take advantage
of this natural curiosity and bring this wonderful world within
your child's reach? Your garden, of course. (Your balcony garden
is the answer to everything - haven't you figured that out yet?)
There are certain plants
and flowers that will attract the birds and the bugs (and you can
tailor this to the more desirable ones). Your child can have a chance
to create something that will allow them to see hummingbirds and
butterflies "up close and personal." And your children
can even have some contact with "nature" by helping you
prepare a worm-compost for your more "adult-oriented"
plants.
