Watering Tools

Watering Tools

Because watering is least liked by gardeners and most liked by plants, we've collected great watering tools for home gardeners. The simplest -- watering cans. We have one so lovely you'll enjoy watering more just because you have it. Combine watering cans with our self watering system planter reservoirs to trim watering by a third or more. Our indoor-outdoor no-tangle coiled house is lightweight, and ideal to water a large area and hanging or hard-to-reach plants. If you travel, the Oasis Self Watering system can handle up to 20 plants for up to 40 days! With the drip irrigation kit you can permanently and perfectly water plants over a 60' range. All of our watering tools help you conserve water like a pro, too. And watering tools like our plant reservoirs, the Oasis and drip irrigation system deliver water slowly, like rain. Best for the plants.

While it's hard to fully determine the role water, fertilizer and location play in plant beauty, our experience tells us that watering tools may have an edge. The loveliest flowers we've collectively seen often came after a harsh winter that left lots of snow to melt and/or notable spring rains. Those are also gentle processes for the plants, which helped us see the value of our planter well reservoirs, Oasis self watering system and drip irrigation kit not only to gardener's convenience, but also to the best plants ever. That makes a self watering system equally valuable indoors as well as out. In fact, indoor air is usually dryer than outside, hard on plants and easy to overlook at first. A self watering system adds a bit more moisture to the air as well. A self watering system like out planter reservoirs may be used inside, too. FYI - an insert self watering system reservoir takes care of a flower pot up to 9" bigger than its diameter. So a 12" round insert waters a pot up to 21".

Let's talk fertilizer for a moment. Potted plants need regular fertilizer, and a good interval during the growing season is every two weeks. Potted plants also have a preference for liquid fertilizer, which you can easily add when you use watering cans, self watering system planter reservoirs and our Oasis drip irrigation kit (just add it to the water). For the hose drip irrigation kit, just add a hose fertilizer container to your system. Simple. In some areas self-watering system planter reservoirs can achieve three weeks between watering. That's a lot of time to kick back and actually enjoy the lovely deck and yard you've created, which should be one of the points of using watering tools to create beauty. And travel will be so much more carefree when you aren't worried about your plants being over or under watered. So wise use of watering tools is good for your relationships as well!
